The Opti-Virtual: the illusion of fire!

With the Opti-Virtual, Dimplex is adding an extra category to its already enormous range of decorative fires. It may well be an electric fire, but the Opti-Virtual Single goes further by creating the illusion of fire with a lifelike flame effect, crackling sounds and even sparks that seem to spring into the air. You can switch it on and off and adjust the volume, of course.

The technology is based on Pepper’s Ghost, a principle that is applied to create illusions and which is often used in amusement parks, on stage and in museums. Dimplex has refined the technique.

Safe and easy to use

The Opti-Virtual Single can be placed with ease in any room. It is a plug & play device. You only need an electric socket to make it work. As well as normal, domestic use, the fireplace is also ideal for spaces where little supervision is possible, like in restaurants and hotel lobbies or rooms. A business foyer or reception is another possibility. The flame effect is lifelike, but the fire, in contrast, does not generate any heat. It is therefore very safe. 

The Opti-Virtual is available in two sizes: Single and Double. The Opti-Virtual Single's view on the fire is 69 cm wide and 25cm high.
