Höfats MOON 45 Smokeless Fire Pit High

The höfats MOON 45 with high base is made for anyone who likes to enjoy the fire in comfort. The black bowl sits on a slender stainless steel stand, giving the fire pit a light, modern look. Thanks to its wood-gasification technology, the fire burns calmly and efficiently, with noticeably less smoke than a traditional fire pit. You can burn logs for atmosphere and experience, or pellets when you want convenience and a very clean burn.

Clean, steady flames

Inside the MOON, the wood or pellets are first heated, releasing combustible gases. The double-walled body and clever airflow guide these gases into a second combustion phase. Beneath the opening of the fire pit there is a perforated ring. Preheated air flows out through these perforations and mixes with the rising gases. In this secondary combustion, even fine wood particles are still used. This creates a calm, even flame pattern, with reduced smoke and only a small amount of ash as residue. The result is a tall, dancing flame that looks spectacular.

Wood for atmosphere, pellets for convenience

If you burn firewood, you get that familiar campfire feeling. You build up the fire, add a log now and then and have a lot of control over the height and character of the flames. Thanks to the wood-gasification principle, the burn is cleaner and calmer than in a standard fire pit. If you use pellets, the focus is on comfort. Fill the MOON with around 10–12 kg of pellets and you can enjoy up to about two hours of a stable, very clean flame pattern without refilling. The combustion is so complete that there is hardly any visible smoke, leaving you free to focus on your guests.

Materials and care

The inner shell of the MOON is made from stainless steel. The outer shell and the ash tray are made from enamelled steel with a durable black finish. The tall stand and the extension piece are brushed stainless steel, while the ring at the bottom of the stand is cast iron. Once the fire pit has cooled down, you simply remove the ash tray from the bowl. Empty the ash, give the tray a quick wipe if needed, and the fire pit is ready for the next evening. Thanks to the efficient combustion, there is relatively little ash left behind.
