The Dimplex Engine 56-600 is a popular built-in fire with a three dimensional Opti-myst flame effect. The effect is created by lighting ultra-fine water vapour. The Engine 56-600 MB offers the atmosphere of a real fire and can be operated by remote control. Create a realistic fire effect at the touch of a button!

The Engine 56-600 MB has a heating element and thermostat and can generate 1 or 2 KW as required. The fire not only adds atmosphere to the home,  but also extra warmth.

Decorative fire based on Opti-myst technology

This fire’s unique flame effect is created by illuminating water vapour. A Dimplex fire with Opti-myst technology contains a water reservoir under the 'ember bed' from which a nebulizer produces a mist. Lamps behind the reservoir heat the air, which then transports the vapour upwards. The water vapour spreads itself above the 'ember bed' and reflects the light. This Opti-myst fire consists of two colours and the lighting creates a natural fire effect and realistic ‘smoke’.

The Dimplex Engine 56-600 MB also has a heating element. If you switch it on, it can produce 1 or 2 KW of heat as required, distinguishing itself from many other electric fires while producing a more realistic and atmospheric effect. It's as if you are sitting in front of a real fire... Also fitted with a thermostat.
