Use and maintain OFYR plancha
If you want to bake on the OFYR, start with these steps:
1. Level the barbecue to prevent oil stains on tiles. 2. Make a nice construction of firelighters and smaller logs in the cone. To sizes, fill the fire longer with larger logs to keep the fire burning longer. 3. Let the baking tray heat up and grease in the meantime with a nice layer of natural oil. This ensures a good non-stick coating and makes baking easier. 4. If necessary, place accessories in the center of the baking tray and let them also warm as needed. 5. Get started with the plancha and after baking an ingredient, remove leftover food from the baking tray and use the baking tray again.
A number of steps after use are important to maintain the quality of the baking tray: • When the baking tray is still hot, scrape the leftover food into the fire with a spatula. • If necessary, use ice cube or bubble water to soak stubborn residues. • Allow the baking tray to cool slightly and now add an oil layer as an anti-rust layer. Use natural oil and an old tea towel or kitchen paper for this. • Do you not use the baking tray for a longer time? Then store it clean, dry and greased.
Tip: always remove the cooled ash and leaves. If necessary, use a lid to prevent dirt in the cone.
