Wood stove for outside

A wood stove under the roof is a good way to heat the canopy or veranda. With a relatively high power, you can make the outdoor space immediately attractive to use all year round. You place the wood stove under the roof with a roof throughput or an angular stove pipe along the roof and immediately enjoy intensive heat.

Where to look out for a wood stove under the roof?

Due to the often double-walled character of a wood stove and the dense doors, a wood stove creates more heat than a normal garden fireplace made of steel. Some factors to consider are:

  • Placement of the wood stove. Pay attention with flammable materials and place the wood stove as freely as possible and / or protect flammable materials.
  • Ventilation in space. Provide adequate ventilation and do not let the stove get too hot.
  • High efficiency. This allows the stove to get very hot. So take a good look at which surface the stove is suitable for. Calculate the appropriate power for your outdoor space.
  • Double-walled stovepipe. If you want the stove pipe to rise above the canopy, always use a double-walled stove pipe. This is extra insulated and therefore suitable for through the roof.

Durable heat with a wood stove

If you buy a wood stove for outside, it is good to know that the wood stoves can have a good power. Due to the good combustion in the stove, you get a high efficiency from the stove and the room heats up quickly. In this way, the wood stove consumes little fuel and leaves few harmful substances. Perfect for clean combustion and great heat.

Is a wood stove (outside) still allowed?

Burning wood in a fire pit, wood stove or barbecue is not prohibited. However, there is more and more discussion about how good the firing of wood is for the environment and whether it should still be allowed in the future. Therefore, know how best to make a fire and try to reduce smoke development.
