    Höfats MOON 45 Smokeless Fire Pit Low

    The höfats MOON 45 with low base is a compact fire pit with wood-gasification technology, designed for a clean, calm fire. Thanks to the double-walled construction and clever airflow, you can enjoy an impressive play of flames with significantly less smoke than a traditional fire pit. You can burn MOON with firewood for a classic campfire feel or with pellets for maximum convenience and a very clean burn.

    Clean combustion

    MOON works on the principle of wood gasification. Inside the fire pit, the wood or pellets are first heated, releasing combustible gases. The double-walled construction with a split air stream ensures that these gases are ignited a second time. Beneath the opening of the fire pit there is a perforated ring. Preheated air flows out through these perforations and mixes with the rising gases. In this secondary combustion, even fine wood particles are still used. This results in a calm, even flame, clearly less smoke and an efficient burn with only a small amount of ash left behind. The result is a tall, dancing flame pattern that looks spectacular.

    Choose wood or pellets

    Use firewood if you want a true campfire feeling: stacking logs, building up the fire and adding wood from time to time. You have a lot of control over the height and movement of the flames and create a familiar fireside atmosphere, but with a cleaner burn and less smoke than with a normal fire pit. If convenience is your priority, pellets are ideal. Fill the MOON with 10–12 kilograms of pellets and enjoy up to about two hours of a stable, very clean flame pattern without refilling. The combustion is so complete that the flames are almost smokeless.

    Materials and maintenance

    The inner shell is made from stainless steel. The outer shell and the ash tray are made from enamelled steel, giving a durable finish and deep black appearance. The extension piece is brushed stainless steel and the low base is cast iron. Thanks to the removable ash tray, MOON is easy to clean. Once everything has cooled down, lift out the ash tray, empty the remaining ash and the fire pit is ready for the next evening.
