Right of withdrawal

A BRIEF EXPLANATION OF THE RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL

Consumers have a right of withdrawal upon delivery of services or distance selling. For the sake of clarity, we’ll explain the right of withdrawal, that you have as a consumer in accordance with the general terms and conditions of delivery of the Webshop keurmerk:

Article 6 - Right of withdrawal upon delivery of products (the products in our web shop)

1. When purchasing products, the consumer has the ability to dissolve the contract, without giving reasons for 14 days. This period shall begin from the day after receipt of the product by or on behalf of the consumer.
2. During this period the consumer will handle the product and the packaging carefully. He will only unpack or use the product to the extent necessary in order to assess whether he wishes to keep the product. If he exercises his right of withdrawal, he will return the product - and if reasonably possible - in the original condition and packaging to the entrepreneur, in accordance with the reasonable and clear instructions by the entrepreneur.

VIEWING PERIOD AND CANCELLATION OF AN ORDER

A statutory approval period of at least 14 working days applies in the Netherlands from 13 June 2014. ? Within this period, you can cancel the order without giving any reason. You can do so in writing (an email to our customer service is sufficient) or if the product is already delivered, by returning it (the costs for returning are your own).

It’s possible to have second thoughts about an order. That is why you’re entitled to a 14 day trial period after delivery. But what if you have ordered and change your mind immediately? You don't have to wait until the order has arrived to return it.

PLEASE CONTACT US

Give us a call, or send us an email (in which your name, customer number and the order number are listed) and your order will be cancelled. We can also notify you whether the items are already on their way and how to act if they are presented to you by the carrier. Of course, cancellation is free of charge and we hope that next time you will order from us.

UNPACK AND TRY

During this period, you as a consumer have the right to assess and try a product as you normally would do in the shop. That generally means that you’ll also be allowed to unpack the delivered product and, if necessary, switch on and use the product as you would in the store. However, as long as you as a customer have not yet decided to keep the product, you may try the product, however, you may NOT use it.

This means that you can view the fireplace, open it, etc., just like in the store. You may NOT, however, use the fireplace!

PRODUCT AND PACKAGING AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE IN ORIGINAL STATE

If you buy a product and you are not sure that you want to keep the product, we recommend you exercise caution with the product and its packaging. Because if you use your right of withdrawal you need to return the product and packaging, as much as is reasonably possible, in its original state.  You must only unpack or use the product to the extent necessary in order to assess whether you wish to keep the product. Unfortunately, any damage must be deducted from the refund.
