We make every effort to ensure your privacy and therefore handle personal data with care. Brave International B.V. adheres in all cases to the applicable laws and regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation. This entails that we will in any case:

What do we process personal data for?

Your personal data will be processed by Brave International B.V. for the following purposes:

- Administrative purposes;
- Communication about the assignment and/or invitation;
- Executing or issuing an order;
- Sending newsletters and marketing purposes, among others
- Managing/optimising the website;

 

Brave International B.V. may use your personal data to process an order and track the contents of your shopping cart.

Brave International B.V. may also use your personal data to contact you to let you know that you have uncharged products in your shopping cart, for an evaluation (review) of its service(s) or in response to a complaint you have submitted. Brave International B.V. may also provide your information to its customer service department.

Brave International B.V. also offers you the opportunity to create an account. This is not mandatory. Through this personal account you can place and pay for your orders in our webshop without having to fill in your details every time. The order is then linked to the data in your account. You can also view your order history.

If you have signed yourself up for our newsletter, you will be kept up to date with special promotions, tips and advice and will receive a regular newsletter. If you do not (or no longer) want your personal data to be used for marketing activities, please let us know. You can do so by clicking the relevant link at the bottom of the newsletter, at info@firepit-online.com, or by changing your settings in your account. We will then ensure that you no longer receive marketing communications from us.

If you enter a contest or promotion, we also ask for your personal data. This allows us to keep track of the participants' data, to write to the winners and also to measure the response to the action. After the action ends, your data are deleted again, unless you have also signed up for our newsletter.

We also process data that is passively provided, such as your IP address. We use this data to make statistics and analyses on the use of our website, to improve the ease of use for you as a visitor, to display relevant advertisements and to optimise the performance of our website. We will not collect more personal data than is reasonably necessary to provide our services and/or for the purposes described in this Privacy Statement.

Disclosure to third parties

We may provide the data you provide to us to third parties if this is necessary for carrying out the purposes described above.

If it is necessary, your name and contact details will be forwarded to the relevant supplier for the purpose of delivering your order.

If payment for an order is made, your bank or credit card details will also be used. To handle the payment traffic, Brave International B.V. cooperates with one or more payment service providers ("PSP") with whom this data is also shared.

If you have signed yourself up for our newsletter, you will receive it regularly by e-mail. For sending the newsletter, we use special software called Klaviyo.

Brave International B.V. never passes on personal data to other parties with whom we have not concluded a processing agreement. Naturally, we make the necessary agreements with these parties (processors) to guarantee the security of your personal details.

Furthermore, we will not provide the data you provide to other parties, unless required and permitted by law. An example of this is when the police request (personal) data from us as part of an investigation. In such a case, we are obliged to cooperate and hand over this data. We may also share personal data with third parties if you give us your written consent.

We do not provide personal data to parties based outside the EU.

 

Advertisements and cookies

To make the website function optimally and to provide visitors with the best possible service, Brave International B.V. uses cookies.

In this context, information about your visit to our website is collected, such as visiting frequency, browser type, pages visited and duration of the visit. Brave International B.V. uses this information to improve the user-friendliness of the website.

If you do not want cookies on your computer, you can block their use via your browser settings. Please note that some features on the website will only work if you allow cookies.

You can also delete cookies from your browser history. By deleting cookies on a regular basis, you can change the user profile built up with them. However, deleting cookies does not stop data collection, it only removes the profile based on the previous browsing history.

Security and protection of personal data

We consider the protection of your personal data important and will take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data from loss, misuse and other unlawful use. Unfortunately, as no IT system can be 100% secure, we cannot 100% guarantee the security of your personal data that you provide to us.

Among the measures we have taken are the following:

- Our websites use a secure SSL connection for the transfer of (personal) data;
- Personal data is stored with a hosting party that guarantees adequate security;
- Backups are made periodically to prevent loss, mutilation or any other impairment of information and/or to be able to restore;
- We use virus software and firewalls;
- Appropriate technical and organisational measures have been taken internally;
- All employees are aware of the AVG regulations and informed about precautionary measures and reporting obligations in case of emergencies.

 

Right of access, rectification and deletion

You have the right to view the personal data we hold on you and/or to check that it is correct. You can do so via the settings of your personal account, or by sending us an e-mail. We will then send you in writing or by e-mail, as soon as possible, an overview of all personal data we hold about you.

You also have the option to request, in writing or by e-mail, that we delete your personal data completely. We will implement such a request as soon as possible.

You can also object to the processing of your personal data (or part of it) by us or by one of our processors. You also have the right to have us transfer the data you have provided to yourself or directly to another party if you wish. We may logically ask you to identify yourself before we can comply with the aforementioned requests.

 

Retention period of personal data

We will not retain your personal data for longer than is legally permissible and necessary to fulfil the purposes for which we obtained the data, or for the period for which you have given us your consent.


Underage

We only process personal data of minors (persons under 16 years of age) if written consent is given by the parent, guardian or legal representative.

 

Complaints

If you have a complaint about the processing of your personal data, please contact us. If you cannot resolve this with us, we naturally find this very annoying. You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Authority. This is the supervisory authority in the field of privacy.
